Laura Hutchinson

Hi, my name is Laura and I am one of the new nurses at Animal's 1st. 

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010 from Edinburgh Napier University. I completed my training at the fast paced PDSA gaining valuable experience, and have spent the last 10 years in general practice and orthopaedic referral nursing. I am excited to be back in general practice and look forward to meeting all the regular faces in the surgery.

I enjoy all aspects of my job but have a particular interest in anaesthesia and surgical nursing. I am hoping to start another qualification in this area in the next year. 

Outside of work I am kept busy at home with my husband and 2 young sons. When I have a rare spare moment, I also enjoy reading and knitting.
