Animals 1st offer a wide range of veterinary services that ensure your best friend gets the first class treatment they deserve and all the help they need  on the road to recovery.

Our state of the art x-ray and ultrasound equipment will help us get to the bottom of your pets health problems and our in house laboratory can provide same day results, testing blood for haematology, biochemistry and electrolytes among other things.

Pet Health Plan

At Animals 1st we offer a comprehensive Pet Health Plan. From as little as £4.95  per month your pet can benefit from the following care:

Annual Vaccinations, (excluding Kennel Cough)

Flea, tick, worm and parasite treatment,

Health and weight checks twice yearly,

Dental checks,

Discounts off neutering, Micro-chipping, in-house procedures and treatments,

blood testing and long term medication, food and accessories

Microchipping

Dogs- By law dogs must be micro-chipped by 8 weeks of age.

Cats- As cats can roam it is recommended that you have you cat chipped.

Vaccinations

Dogs: Distemper, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, and four strains of Leptospirosis, Kennel Cough and Rabies vaccinations on request.

Cats: Cat Flu, Feline Enteritis, Feline Panleukopaenia Virus and Feline Leukemia Virus. Chlymyophila and Rabies vaccine on request.

Rabbits: Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic disease.

Ferrets: Distemper, Rabies vaccination on request
Pet Passport Travel Scheme – rabies vaccination, health checks and a unique passport to enable your pet to travel abroad to certain countries and return to the UK. We can also advise on permanent export of pets should you be emigrating.

Neutering

Spaying & castration of Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Ferrets and other small mammals from 12 weeks of age dependant on species and breed.

We can also vasectomise ferrets.

All our neutering procedures include post operative pain relief and gold standard anaesthetics.

Surgery/Procedures

A full range of orthopaedic, ophthalmic and soft – tissue surgery carried out by our experienced vets in a dedicated theatre.

Anaesthesia

We use human grade inhalational anaesthetics, and follow gold standard protocols as set out by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. All anaesthetics are monitored using an array of equipment including blood pressure measurement, pulse oximetry and body temperature by our experienced and qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.
