I joined the Animals 1st Team in July 2015 and am currently running the Haddington Branch Surgery.
After my Vet Nurse Training at Edinburgh’s Telford College I worked for 14 years with particular interests in feline critical care and wildlife rehabilitation. I have completed CPD courses in Pet Nutrition (Hills), Advanced Feline Nursing (Bristol Vet School) and Orthopaedic Bandaging (East Neuk) amongst others.
I have a passion for Owls after hand rearing, keeping and training captive bred birds for many years, and am a strong supporter of Lothian Cat Rescue. I also recently become a volunteer with Wing & A Prayer chicken rescue.
The most exciting animal I have dealt with has to be a Puffin that I helped release back successfully to the wild.
In my limited spare time I enjoy anything crafty, baking, canoeing, gardening, dog agility and long walks with my Fox Terrier X fish DJ!.
Hi I’m Lynda and I am a receptionist at our Newtongrange branch. I have worked in practices for the last few years and enjoy this role within the team as I get too socialise with both people and animals. There is also an added bonus of getting a cuddle from all our furry clientele!
I have two children who thankfully share my love for animals as we have two dogs and one cat.
When I’m not working my day consists of looking after my kids and if I get time I like to socialise with friends. I especially enjoy family day trips, particularly the ones that we can include the dogs.
